Let's look at the type of roles we have.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN AGENCY NURSING
We can place you in a wide range of nursing roles, covering different levels of experience and qualifications. This will give you an idea of the experience you need to qualify for these.
REGISTERED NURSE (RN)
If you are a Registered Nurse – or RN - you have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and provide a wide variety of care to patients. You are allowed to administer treatments, including medication. This is one of the most-in-demand positions on our platform, so there are plenty of shifts for part and full-time RN jobs.
ASSISTANT IN NURSING (AIN)
Assistants in Nursing (AINs), otherwise known as personal care or support work, are there to help nurses with patients. Even though it is a career in itself, support workers can go on to become a nurse though you need to study further for this. Employers often prefer a Certificate III level qualification for nursing support staff, though this is not compulsory.
ENROLLED NURSE (EN)
If you are an Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN) you will have a Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Nursing and care for patients in a variety of healthcare facilities. Both roles are there to support the work of Registered Nurses (RN).
SPECIALISED REGISTERED NURSE
If you specialise as a Registered Nurse, you need to complete a Transition to Specialty Practice Program (TSPP). This gives the skills to work in a specific field and apply for more demanding roles such as an Aged Care Nurse, critical care (ICU) and emergency nurse.
NURSE PRACTITONER
To become a Nurse Practitioner, you need at least 5 years’ experience as an RN to get into a Master program. You can then diagnose conditions, conduct health assessments, and prescribe treatments for patients.
IMMUNISATION NURSE
If you are an Immunisation Nurse you must have successfully completed any mandated training modules for administering vaccines to protect the community against preventable infectious diseases.
