YOU LOVE THE BUZZ OF A REAL CITY, BUT STILL WANT BEACHES, MOUNTAINS AND MORE ON YOUR DOORSTEP
You happily admit that you’re a little boujie, love a faster-paced lifestyle and are (almost) always up for an adventure. When you dream of your life in Australia, you need beaches and city lunches in equal parts, but also want the chance to head out and have an adventure on the weekends.
WHY CHOOSE SYDNEY?
Sydney is full of life. It’s multicultural – in its people, food, festivals and influences. It’s busy – from bars and restaurants, 24-hour gyms and world-class shopping. And it’s beautiful – within an hour or two you can be at the beach, the mountains or hiking in one of our beautiful national parks. The downside? It’s expensive – rent is high, as is the price of fuel and beverages (coffee, smoothies and cocktails). It’s also hot and sticky – during the summer peak, temperatures don’t come down during the night, not all homes have aircon and the mozzies come out in force.
WORK OPPORTUNITIES
There are more than 220 hospitals and health services in NSW, with the majority located in Sydney’s CBD and surrounds, Northern Sydney and Western Sydney, meaning the work opportunities are there for the taking and if you’re looking to specialise or try a few different areas, we can help you find your perfect fit. Our nurses tell us that it’s more relaxing working in Australia. The hours are kinder with 8 hours shifts being the norm, improved staff to patient ratios (1:4-6) and better pay.
WHERE SHOULD I LIVE?
If you’re looking to try living somewhere a little different (i.e you don’t want to start out in Bondi or Coogee like many UK and Irish expats), Sydney’s Northern Beaches offer a more relaxed vibe and the Parramatta region has the hustle and bustle of the CBD, but more affordable housing. If you’re having trouble deciding where to begin, our friendly team of nurses can get you started and help you through the process. Find out more about your local office here..
