YOU LOVE THE HEAT AND THE BEACH BUT PREFER YOUR CITY ON THE SMALLER SIDE.

Good architecture, great music, laneways, food, wineries and hills as your backdrop make you happy. With Glenelg, Kangaroo Island and the Barossa close by, you’ll have your weekend trips booked within moments of touching down in this beautiful city.

WHY CHOOSE ADELAIDE?

Adelaide has a lot going for it. It’s hot in summer – but it’s a dry heat, perfect if Sydney or Brisbane’s humidity is not your cup of tea. It’s the wine capital of Australia, not to mention an amazing producer of delicious food.  And it’s relatively inexpensive to rent a room or an apartment compared with Australia’s other major cities.

One the downside, while its reputation is now funky and fun, it is still a little quieter than the major cities in the eastern states. Plus, the ocean water temperatures are cooler than in other parts of the country, so it can get a bit nippy in the surf.

WORK OPPORTUNITIES

Adelaide prides itself on its world-class hospital care. There are opportunities to work in emergency, women’s health and paediatrics, along with other specialisations and there are a variety of places to start within the metro region.

Our team can help you decide what your best fit looks like. Our nurses tell us that it’s more relaxing working in Australia. The hours are kinder with 8 hour shifts being the norm, lower staff to patient ratios (1:4-6) and better pay.

INSTAGRAM INSPO!

If you choose Adelaide as your first home in Australia, you’ll be able to post some of these gems to your Instagram and make your friends and family back home jealous (who knows, this might get them planning a holiday to come and visit you sooner than you think).
